General Colin L. Powell is a former Local 812 member who worked at Pepsi Long Island City. His time as a Teamster
clearly made a great impression. General Powell even mentioned Local 812 in two of the novels he has written.
At a recent event, General Powell was presented with a Teamsters Local 812 jacket by Teamster General President James P. Hoffa and Teamsters Local 812 President Ed Weber. Powell graciously accepted the gift and expressed his appreciation for the recognition and support of his former union.
Attending the Entrust investment dinner were Local 812 officers President Ed Weber, Secretary-Treasurer Joe Vitta and Vice President John Ulrich who all serve as Trustees of the Local 812 Retirement Fund.
